About Me

I am a 35 year old British woman currently living in East Yorkshire. Originally I grew up in East Anglia in a small town called Thetford I would not blame anyone for not hearing of it! I am very lucky to be blessed with a wonderful family and a gorgeous husband who is very supportive of everything I do. We have a gorgeous cheeky staffie called Loki who makes us laugh daily.

I have always struggled with my weight. It took me a long time to admit to myself that I am an emotional eater. I always hid behind my various health issues and blamed everything else but myself. It is not easy to admit and it does make me feel quite ashamed but every since I admitted the real reason for my weight I feel an enormous sense of determination to change and take control of myself.

At the age of 20 I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome after a bout of glandular fever and then at the end of 2016 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was very fortunate that it was caught early enough. I went through chemotherapy, surgery and radio therapy this has taken its toll on my body and I have developed Fibromyalgia which does limit me on what I can do with regards to exercise. Despite all of this I am not going to let any of that stop me from progressing on my journey. I just accept the limitations and work within them.

So why have I started this blog? Well I want to share my journey with you in the hopes that it will work partly as accountability and motivation but in the hopes that I will find people along the way who I can help too. Lets support each other!

So that is a little about me, thank you for reading if indeed you still are!
