Scales are evil!!

I don’t know about you but I am terrible for judging my progress by the scales even when I know they only tell half the story.( I know I am losing weight as my measurements and clothes tell me) But I just can’t help myself they really effect my mood. If I have seen that they have moved a little in the wrong direction it makes me question everything and feel really down, conversely if they have moved in the right direction I feel ecstatic!

This really can’t be good for your mental health. it is certainly not good for mine. I read a story of a women online who lost 9 stone over 2 years and she did not use scales at all, she just took her measurements and progress photos. She looks fantastic! I am going to try and take a leaf out of her book and just keep doing what I am doing and try not to get too obsessed with the scales. I know I have said it before but I really need to try. The last thing I want to do is get demoralised. The more you lose the harder it gets to lose more but I just need to keep pushing on.

Dear Diary,

Nice day today. My husband took me to a new cafe that has just opened called The Beehive jazz cafe. There was not much on the menu that I could have but they do a breakfast called ‘The Hunger Games’ breakfast. It consisted of various cheeses, choritzo sausage, eggs, toast and olives. Hubby had the toast for me but it was lovely! Aside from the toast it is a Keto dieters dream!

I really liked the decor of the place, right up my street with funky music and instruments on the wall. I do like quirky places. I am sure we will be going back!

Until tomorrow….

Sunday 22/9/19

Dear Diary,

It has been a rough few weeks with my Fibromyalgia, CFSme and my stomach so I have not really been up to too much. I feel like I am getting a little better, or at least coping better. I have been helping my husband with a new little project. Well as much as I can do. He has started a new website reviewing screenwriting in films just for fun and to add to his port folio. Personally I do not know much about screenwriting but my husband has a Masters degree in Creative writing and has just started a PhD in the subject. He has asked me to be the voice in his video reviews!

Yesterday I recorded my little audio parts and he is putting it all together. Once it is ready he will add it too his YouTube channel. I have to admit I did enjoy doing it but I am sure once I hear it it will make me cringe! Still it is nice to have something to take my mind off things, especially the pain.

Until tomorrow….

I’m back!

So sorry I have not been around to update daily as I had planned. I have been quite unwell for the last week or so. I am glad to say I have been keeping on track as far as the diet is concerned but not been well enough to exercise as yet. I have still managed to shift a few pounds so I am quite pleased with that. I really do want to get back up to date here on newmenewmia but if I were to blog as I usually do those who are following me would get very much spammed and I don’t want that so I will just start from today.

Thanks for reading! If indeed you still are!
